I can still clearly remember when I first started this club, I checked for updates every single day with the intention of making it most active club for the fandom (at the time, it was still fairly small!). I tried hard to promote it, keep people interested, and come up with little things to give the members reasons to submit and participate. It's a club, so there should always be something to do, right? Right!
I met so many amazing members and made a couple of friendships that I wouldn't have before, and it was increasingly difficult not to adore this club and all of its wonderful members.
I wanted it to grow! Grow large! The biggest D.Gray-man club even!
Yet. . . somewhere along the line, I was slowly losing time where I could check in on and makes updates. Then there was just simply no time at all, and everyone's notes and things just continued to keep coming. Suddenly I couldn't keep up with it all like I used to.
A hiatus was called due to this, and a request to please stop sending more notes until I was caught up. I said I'd delete them, but how could I? It's hard to reject someone, provided that they're not one of the dummies who don't bother read how to join.
In the middle of an update, which was going to be a gigantic one I was slowly compiling in notepad*, I found a slew of notes yelling (or rather the text equivalent) at me for my delay, so I stopped. I simply closed notepad and my firefox tab.
This club was for fun, for both you** and me. It was not a chore, an obligation, work, or anything of the like. I did not ask much (you didn't even need to know my name***), all anyone ever needed to do was read the rules and patiently wait for me to get to their note. Waiting, I suppose was too much to ask for?
The remaining desire to update (despite my hectic life at the time) was effectively squashed by those notes. I do apologize for that though. I feel that I should have simply deleted the notes, plus removed them from the club if they had been apart of it already, and continued on. Alas.
I deeply considered giving this club off to someone, but I couldn't bare to. This was my baby, and I had already given away another club of mine so I could focus on this one. . . plus the people I appointed to the other club ditched it without warning or giving it to someone else. What a waste!
What was to say someone else wouldn't do the same here? Why should it be temporary revived by someone else only to die out again? It might as well remain in my hands.
I am considering reviving this club, but I don't think I could do it alone. I would definitely need some help, but I am extremely picky. Who would want to go through THIS?!?
Well, technically no one would need to since I'd rather simply delete them all since a good chunk of those notes are from now-abandoned accounts. The question is who would want to?
It's just a thought.
So, this is what I have to say.
Now, what do you have to say? What should be done about the club? Any suggestions?
Let me know in a comment. Please don't send me a note, but if you absolutely must then send it to ~Cellia.

so does that mean you won't be adding people to the club for some time? Cause if you are, I'd LOVE to join the club..seriously. I keep reobsessing over D.Gray-man. So much that I asked my piano teacher if she could get me a Lavi figurine if she sees one if she possibly goes to Japan o.o;;
yeah...but still. I'd love to join -runs away-
...funny how I look at the other people's comments and then I seem mine which is like SO FREAKIN LONG!!...
